Welcome to "It's Not OK", an online gallery of art created by teens to get the message out to other teens that intimate partner violence is not ok!

Please come in and browse through the art. Bring your friends to the gallery and help us spread the word that "It's Not Ok" to hit your girlfriend. "It's Not Ok" to put your boyfriend down. "It's Not Ok" to abuse the people you love and care about. Join the youth movement to stop teen dating violence.

Haven House, the first Battered Women's shelter in the United States, hosts this gallery. Part of Haven House's mission is to end domestic violence by educating the Community about all aspects of Domestic Violence including Teen Dating Violence.

This art was created by youth in Los Angeles County as a message to other teens that abusing your partner is not ok. This project is part of Haven House's Outreach to Youth. Each artist participated in a two-day presentation on Teen Dating Violence & Healthy Relationships. They then used the information to create art to help Haven House spread the message to other teens.

Some of the images may be disturbing, especially if you are a survivor or victim of intimate partner abuse. Please take care of yourself. If you want to speak to a counselor about feelings that may come up for you please call Haven House's 24-hour hotline or the national 24-hour hotline.
